Vertical Identity is operated by Hope Capital LLC dba Vertical Identity, headquartered at 5227 N 7th Street, #18043, Phoenix, AZ 85014. We are a DOT compliance and screening services company serving motor carriers and corporate clients. This information is collected through cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain our website and services
- Personalize and improve your experience
- Respond to your inquiries and requests
- Process drug tests, MVRs, background checks, and Clearinghouse queries
- File DOT-required reports (Clearinghouse violations, MIS reports)

- Detect and prevent fraud
- Comply with legal obligations (FMCSA reporting, FCRA compliance, tax reporting)
- Protect the rights, privacy, safety, and property of our company and users
4. Data sharing & disclosure
We may share your information with:
- Service providers who assist in website operations, payment processing, drug-test laboratory work, and MRO review (Authorize.net for payments, Quest Diagnostics for drug tests, TazWorks for background screening, Cloudflare for hosting, Zoho for CRM/email/storage)
- Federal regulators when required by 49 CFR (FMCSA Clearinghouse reporting, MIS reports, audit responses)

- Third-party analytics providers (aggregated and anonymized data only)
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We do not share driver-level or carrier-level compliance data with anyone outside the parties listed above.
5. International transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We take appropriate measures to ensure your data is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Most of our processors are US-based; some support and analytics functions are handled by team members and contractors outside the US.
6. Your rights & choices
You have the right to:
- Access and update your information through the member portal at members.verticalidentity.com/account
- Opt in or out of marketing communications via SMS, email, or phone
- Delete your account or personal data (subject to FMCSA-required record retention; see below)
- Object to the processing of your data
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Note: certain motor-carrier compliance records are required by federal law to be retained for specific periods (drug test records: 1-5 years per 49 CFR 382.401; driver qualification files: duration of employment + 3 years per 49 CFR 391.51). We cannot delete those records on request during the retention period.
7. Marketing communications
We may contact you via SMS, email, or phone for marketing purposes. You can opt in or out at any time. To opt out of SMS and phone communications, reply "STOP." To opt out of email, use the unsubscribe link provided in our messages. Compliance-related communications (renewal notices, random selection notifications, audit reminders) are not marketing and continue regardless of marketing opt-out.
8. Security
We implement reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction — including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, audit logging, and a credential vault for production secrets. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.
9. SMS consent & data sharing
Your SMS opt-in will not be shared with third parties for purposes unrelated to our services. Personal data, including SMS opt-in, may be shared with service providers for messaging services (platform providers, phone companies, and vendors). SMS originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Significant changes will be communicated by email to active members.
